Covers most of the mainstream recreational drugs with a 2-4 page summary for each. On the more accurate side for books of this type, though a number of errors can still be found. The tone is relatively neutral, avoiding the hyperbole of more anti-drug authors. A little uninspiring, with little new information for anyone knowledgeable in the field, but in all, a potentially useful summary of commonly used psychoactives.

I found this book to be less neutral and more anti-drug, which I found very contradictive to the cover. I also found that more than a little iformation in the book to be inaccurate. Although if you are someone just starting on this wonderful roller-coaster adventure into the world of drugs, this can be a very handy reference guide of doses and expectations. I would rather use Erowid for this purpose though! People who aren’t novices on the drug adventure: don’t waste your time.
